of all things new
Were it not for man’s invention of dates and time, we may not have had new years or birthdays or new centuries. Or, on the contrary, every day would have been a new year, a new day, a new century, a new cause for celebration.
However you choose to look at it, something new is brewing in the magic cauldron. Some new stories, new words and new imageries, new imaginations and concoctions. A new life, yet to be lived.
Something new stirs in my heart.
Like sunset bleeding colours all over the Californian skies.
Like the drumbeats of a new yet strangely familiar tune.
Feelings and emotions that arise from the pit of my stomach. Feelings that are indescribable, that have no name. I have felt them so many times before. Not once have I been able to explain them.
Memories and thoughts collide and create new worlds in my head, some wonderful, some hopeful, some beggar description.
Here’s to another year of such crazy, inexplicable, magical new-ness. Of crawling and tumbling into new mistakes, new discoveries and new wonders.
