I have a cherished book too in this collection - my much loved [*A Benevolent Goddess*](https://dl.bookfunnel.com/x7ix3ldbmg) \- but I also wanted to draw your attention to some works that really caught my eye and I think you'd love them too!

**28-day Grimdark Affirmations** by **Bardlyre**

I mean ... how intriguing is the title! And when I look into the book, it's hilarious! Although a grimdark book is supposed to make you weep, this one is giving me tears of laughter!

*Week One: Embracing The Darkness* begins with a handy tip like this ...

> *“Embracing the darkness is about cultivating a mindset of anger and grudging annoyance towards the small, everyday irritations that often go unnoticed during the adventuring life. It discourages you from finding anything charming and stops you from accidentally savouring simple pleasures that bring happiness.”*

Now you've surely got to read the rest of it, innit?

**Hitopadesha and Beyond: Ancient Tales for Modern Times** by **Kalki**

This is a collection of fables and folklores from the ancient Sanskrit text, *Hitopadesha*, and the author is offering an excerpt of eight tales from this book as part of the promotion. Check it out!

I'm quite intrigued by these covers and that's what drew me to these books. They're on my TBR list, and I can't wait to dive into them.

There are many, many more books in the promotion, from a group of authors whose works I'm discovering and enjoying for the first time. That's the beauty of reading. So many voices. So many stories. So many new ways of looking at life!

The promo runs from Sep 15 to Oct 15 only! Go, take a look!
