tales for dreamers: coyote area
No one has seen a coyote in these parts. Where do you reckon we'll find one?

This was originally a coyote area.
The land has always belonged to the coyotes. It belonged to them long before humans came by. It will belong to them long after humans have gone.
No one seems to remember this though.
No one other than the coyotes, that is.
Occasionally they attempt to assert their ownership in the only way they know. Through acts of aggression.
Unfortunately, this earns them a swift rebuttal from humans, who currently have the upper hand simply because they vastly outnumber the coyotes. And they also have access to more sophisticated weapons, whereas the coyotes have only their teeth and nails and untamed wildness to resort to.
This was originally a coyote area. But no one has seen a coyote in these parts in a long time.
It is said that the coyotes are most active at dawn and at dusk, but even the most ardent watchers haven’t caught a glimpse of one in ages.
Most humans believe the coyotes left long ago.
But maybe they’re simply in hiding. They’ve always been clever that way. Maybe they’re simply biding their time.
Last week's image info: The lovely home with the light in the window 'where all quests come to an end' is located somewhere on Belvenia Rd. I haven't been that way in a long time now, as a foot injury has precluded long walks for the time being.
