tales for dreamers: how to stop the spread of invasive species
It can’t be denied that brushing off your boots is a great way to stop the spread of invasive species. But that only keeps out the little critters that stick to your boots.
Read this helpful guide on how to keep out unwanted species from entering your home.

Fairies are attracted to shiny things. Ear-rings. Bangles. Necklaces. Metallic zippers and chains.
Check those for any trace of fairy dust. It’s usually sparkly and shiny, and disappears the instant you spot it, leaving you to scratch your head and wonder if you had indeed seen anything there in the first place.
Take no chances. Whichever object you suspect had fairy dust on it, leave it behind in the woods as a peace offering. That usually works.

Elves love soft, fuzzy, woolly, warm things. Scarves and socks. Mittens and beanies. They have a soft spot for knitted things.
Check for holes and any unraveling or even any new stitches and patterns that weren’t there before you entered the woods. That’s usually the mark of a busy elf. They like to leave their mark on the objects they desire.
But they don’t wish to take what’s rightfully yours. The next time you come to the woods, bring them a scarf or a mitten, and they’ll leave yours alone.

The trickiest critters to get rid of are the thought-worms.
No one knows where they come from or what they look like. They sneak into your head when you aren’t looking and begin to shape-shift. Truth be told, no one really knows how to get rid of them.
There’s one thing that seems to work really well though to keep the thought-worms quiet and still.
You must stay in the woods for long. They seem to like it there, and that’s when they’re calm and undemanding.
Once you leave the woods, there’s no telling what they’d do in your head until you come back to the woods again.
Last week's image info: Down on Belvenia Rd, south of Spruce Ave, stands 'the guardian tree'. A path runs behind it, seemingly into a dead-end for all you can see. But if you go down that path, the world will open up to you in a pleasantly surprising way. Give it a try, and come back here to let me know.
