tales for dreamers: up? or down?
Every fork forces you to make a choice. How do you choose? And does it really matter?

At this fork is where most people stumble. They waste precious moments worrying which way to go. Up? Or down?
And no matter which way they choose, they walk on that path not delighting in the sounds and sights that present themselves on that path. Instead they are preoccupied with all that they believe they’re missing out on by not having chosen the other path.
What would have they seen there? What kind of birdsong would they have heard had they chosen the other path? Would that have been a better choice?
They want answers to questions that are too foolish to even be considered seriously.
The smarter ones (the ones who think they’re smart; it’s their opinion, not mine) run down one path in the hopes of being able to come back and have enough time left over to explore the other path too. Why choose?
And then there are those who feel overwhelmed by choice. They simply turn back the way they’ve come.
The wise ones simply choose one path and head out in that direction.
They know it doesn’t matter which path they choose.
What truly matters is how they walk on that path.
With presence. Or with unease.
Both are of their own making.
Last week's image info: If you wish to receive 'messages from the otherworld', head up to LaSalle Park and take the trail in the woods that separates the grassy hill on one side from the lake on the other. If it's a sunny day with blue skies and white clouds, and if you're lucky enough, you might just make it in time to see the ship that brings the much-awaited messages.
Programming update: Tales For Dreamers will take a pause in the month of August. Regular posts will resume in September. Please read this post to know more. Thank you for your support.
